Scripture for the Week
Verse: “Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.”
Isaiah 7:7 NKJV
Reflection: When God speaks, every opposing word loses its authority. Isaiah 7:7 is a divine reminder that God Himself sets the limits on what can touch your life. Fear imagines outcomes, the enemy whispers threats, circumstances look intimidating, but God declares, “It shall not stand.”
This isn’t just a statement; it’s a verdict.
A heavenly ruling. A final word over every plot, plan, and pressure rising against you.
Whatever has tried to plant itself in your mind, anxiety, defeat, discouragement, or the fear of “what if”, God cancels it at the root. His sovereignty means that no weapon, no scheme, no lie, and no storm has the final say.
Your job is not to figure out how God will stop it. Your job is to believe the One who said He would.
Let this verse settle in your spirit: If God didn’t authorize it, it cannot stand.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You for Your unshakable word. You see every threat, every fear, and every plan formed against me and You declare that none of it will stand. Strengthen my faith to trust Your voice above every other voice. Silence the noise of fear and fill me with Your peace. I rest in Your authority, Your protection, and Your promises. Let Your will alone come to pass in my life. In Jesus’ name.
Amen
